Finally got the chance to meet Phoebe after three months. It was Teacher's Day celebrations today!! But I didn't enter school grounds because I didn't get anything. Oops. Sorry la, I'm broke.

It rained heavily this morning so I was 30 minutes late. LOL. Got a punch from Phoebe. :x Anyway, we had lunch at MOS Burger before going to Starbucks for some drinks.

So Phoebe went through Social Studies with me since tomorrow I'll be helping a friend with it and I kinda need to refresh my memory. Instead it was all too confusing and I forgot literally all the SBQ skills so I'm like heck it, I'll just borrow that whole stack of notes and hand it to her next week or something. HAHAHA.

I feel kinda bad for robbing her off her SS notes when she's taking O's this year. SORRY BUT I'LL RETURN IT ASAP.

This whole studying of SS also kinda makes me miss O's and all the studying I had to do. :/ I mean, it is kinda fun if you actually think about it. Okay, it was fun for me because I made it fun. ;) LOLOLOL. I just hated doing the practice papers. So tedious. I have to actually pick up my pen and write.

You know how tiring that is for my arm? Especially those essay questions and open-ended questions.

Also, because today was Teacher's Day celebrations, I went on to Instagram and saw that a lot of my classmates went back and took pictures of the new school compound. That kinda makes me miss them. :3 I really need to catch up with some of them soon. This holiday, I hope. Then again... Work. Remind me again, why did I sign up for this? Oh right, I'm strapped for cash.

Dinner was awesome. I ate so much - 2 slices of pizza and 2 plates of spaghetti. Bloody hell, I couldn't walk. After dinner was really entertaining. There was a dance battle! It was amazing. :3 They've sick moves I tell ya! I had so much fun watching.

Afterwards, a few of us went down to Starbucks for some drinks.

Anyway, you know how you spend a brilliant day and somehow, something just has to ruin it? Whenever the day starts out great, I know for sure, something wrong would happen and well, it did.

For once, I wish that I'll actually get the things I want. I've had it up to here with getting things I never asked for. I always get the opposite of what I really want and that sucks. Today was the last freaking straw. I've had it with life (lol relax I'm not gonna kill myself. Please, I'm not that dumb). Piece of shit. So bloody irritating.

I'm done accepting things and making do with whatever I get because obviously it's not making me any happier when it was supposed to. When will I ever get the feeling of "Yes, I've done it. I finally got what I've deserved. This is a dream come true!"? Probably never because dreams don't ever come true in this shit world we live in, or maybe just in my life.

lol I got a job

Went job hunting with June today! We had lunch at Astons and went to scout Bugis for some jobs.

I wasn't even planning on getting a job! But I needed the extra cash so heck it, I'm just gonna do it. We walked over to Haji Lane and June mentioned how the people here don't really hire much and that was when we saw the job offer. 

We went in and filled up the applications. It's quite cool how quickly we were hired. Yes guys, I got a job. Hmm... I guess I'll be pretty busy this holiday... I only start work on 18 September since I'm flying off to Taiwan next Saturday. Hehehehehe! (๑￫‿ฺ￩๑)

I'm having mixed feelings about this whole job thing. I mean, yeah it'll be fun and a good experience for me, and dude, we get paid. Then again, I kinda want time for myself this holiday. Oh well. I can't back out now. I must stay committed! If I really like it, I might try to fit in some time when school starts.

So after we got the job, we went down to Purvis Street to chill at Kooka Cafe.

After our little catch up session, we went over to Suntec City and decided to shop around, looking for her friend's birthday present.

We walked so much, I swear. Not a good idea to be wearing high cuts when you've got a mosquito bite on your ankle. Yeah, I was stupid. Anyway, from Suntec, we walked over to Marina Square and Esplanade. The Esplanade is having this Malay Festival of Arts, Pesta Raya.

Haha, we went to slack at the riverside. The view was just great, especially with the sun setting. Being at Esplanade was just nostalgic thanks to all the F1 adventures I had there. Sigh, I feel so sad that I'm not going for this year's F1. :c I mean, Rihanna's gonna be there. Someone, sponsor me.

I wouldn't mind going there and just relaxing, talking about really deep stuff like "what is life" or some shit. I don't know. It's just a really nice place. :B

I had a good night's sleep. Finally. Best sleep I've had since thursday.

Anyway, the title's "Self-Portraits". I've quite a few epic self-portraits that my friends drew. So Leon and Selene were working on their art homework and they had to draw 5 faces. Obviously my face was drawn if not there wouldn't be this post.

3 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Me

What is a blog for if you don't get to know the blogger more? Also, people are more open at night, right? So yay for late-night blogging! If you know me, you should know some of my antics. And now, I'm going to reveal a little more about myself. Here are 3 things you probably didn't know about me before you read this post:

1) I am very anal about word usage.

I like to make sure that the words I use are in the right context. Even the simplest words. So if you ever see me googling simple words like "depressed" or "foolish", or even simple dialects, you know why. LOL.

2) Interracial people intrigues (yes, I had to google that word) me.

I'm not just talking about those Chinese and Caucasians, even though most of them are soooooo cute. ･:*:･(*/////∇/////*)･:*:･ I don't know I just find it interesting that they're mixed blooded (lol). So yesterday at dinner, I found out that Kah Hong had some Japanese blood in him. Then there's also Alex who's frigging Korean blood, Isaac's a Chindian and two other who are half-Thai. (*≧∀≦*) Damn cool, I swear.

3) I am really fascinated with Cantonese.

I don't know if you know, but I am Cantonese. I can understand a lil bit and I'm gonna learn how to speak it! Mwahahaha! I find that it sounds really nice and I just would not get sick of listening to it. Hearing Cantonese to me is like hearing someone speak in the British accent. HAHAHAHA! Hell yes, if I can't speak Mandarin, at least Cantonese. :3 Yay! Not to mention how much I love Hong Kong so yes, I'll pick it up. Soon.

Zombie

I've officially become a walking zombie. What was I thinking when I thought I could finish up HML in a day? LOL. So I started my 2000-word essay on a dream I recently had at 12.30am and only completed it at 10.30am. Holy crap, 10 hours to write 2000 words. Bravo, Carmen.

I never wanna go through that ordeal again.

Immediately after I finished, I got ready and headed off to school just to hand in my assignment before I went to 112 Katong to meet up with Keith, Leon and Selene for lunch and man, I was hungry.

Lunch was hella epic or rather, truth or dare was epic. ;) Even though I was so bloody tired, I had a good laugh and it perked me up. After lunch, I dropped by Starbucks and bought myself a giant cup of mocha. I can't say it helped much.

Anyway, I got to play ping pong again today! I was exhausted and tried several times to take a nap but they all failed so I gave up and played more ping pong instead. It was damn crazy playing off table. LOL.

 

I stuck around until 6.30pm because the BDS peeps were going to throw Karlene a surprise party! We brought Karlene over and sang her a birthday song. Slacked around before going for dinner at Boon Tong Kee together!

I had a lot of fun even though I was a zombie the entire time. LOL. Now, time for me to hibernate for the next three days or so. HAHAHAHA. This is by far, the longest I've ever gone without sleep. You should've seen the messages I sent when I was on the brink of falling asleep. HAHAHAHA!

Some Good

It feels great to wake up in the afternoon and not have a single thought about school. :3 Okay, technically I have my 2000-word essay to write but meh. I've not a single clue of what to write.

Anyway, I helped Leon with his art work today. Even though my drawing was probably really crappy. :c I'm sorry, but I'm just a mega fail at art okay.

Dinner was sorta epic. I fooled Zanye's friend into thinking that I'm his twin sister, Zann. LOLOLOLOL. He bought it! So we had nothing to do after dinner and decided to do some good.

Bought 7 bottles of green tea and headed down this road where there was a construction going on. We handed out the bottles to them and thank god there was just enough for everyone.

Wow. It felt really good to see the workers smile as they accept the bottle. Aww... Melted my heart. :')

Also, on another bright note, it has been two weeks since my epic fall in a game of Dog and Bone, and my knee is almost completely healed! :3 Can I get some claps, please? There's only this tiny, irritating piece of scab left on my left knee. So tempted to peel it off! D:

Noire

I had to wake up at 7am today and rush off to school to film for our VC final CA. It was so tiring... :c We started around 9am and only ended at 2pm.

Apparently, my group members appointed me to be the princess saviour... LOL and I had to wear this dress which you would never wear to school. I obviously have no shame. HAHHAA KIDDING. I lost all my face okay.

Dude, we were walking to the film site and I saw one of my friends from Table Tennis. Wtf. ._.

Yes, I was wearing sneakers but as Demi Lovato sang, "Who said I can't wear my converse with my dress?"

Guess what I had for lunch? Thai Express, baby! :3 After which I went to play some table tennis. Omg, I finally finished the book I've been reading since July of 2012. LOLOLOL. Slowpoke.

Epic Ping Pong

I slept a little too much today... Anyway today was a little crazy. :B

We played table tennis and it was hella epic. So instead of using the bats like normal people would, some decided to use their shoes, wallets and belts. I laughed so hard my cheeks died.

There was also this epic wall of cool 'statues'. Man, today was cool.... I totally lost my shit. BWAHAHAHA. Okay, not all of it. I was a lot higher at yesterday's basketball. Anyway, I had a lot of fun today. c:

I was on my way home yesterday and I decided to take a detour to visit Claire and Winson instead. HAHAHA. Oh man, I just saw them last week and I miss them already (also partially because I had nothing better to do).

I slacked with them at the computer lab and told really shitty stories.

Anyway, I am crazy happy today.

I went to school with $2 and omg, you can tell, I was damn broke. So when lunchtime came, I thought I was going to have to watch people eat. HAHAHAHA. But my group meet was cancelled and so I called up Sean if we could meet up earlier.

Yay, he bought me lunch. :3 I swear this guy damn crazy. He took a cup and half-filled it with chili then added pepper.

Can you not see the huge difference?! Omg. I think it would burn a hole in my tongue.

I learnt a magic trick. Hehehe! :B Shall perform it next time if I can remember. LOL.
